Friday Funnies on ESPN’s SportsCenter should have highlighted its own crew Friday after anchor Neil Everett dropped a “son of a bitch” and a “God dang it” as ESPN cut to a commercial break shortly before 11 p.m. Pacific.
Everett obviously didn’t realize the cameras were still rolling as ESPN had been previewing its upcoming Friday Funnies but then cut back to anchors Everett and Stan Verrett a couple seconds before the break.
Everett was taking notes and was cursing at something that had just happened on the previous segment.

After ESPN returned from the break, Everett apologized for the miscue, then the network showed the Friday Funnies awkwardly.
At the end of the show shortly thereafter, Verrett joked for the sound crew to shut off the mics.
